There are many student organizations at Wilmington College. Some faculty members will be asked to advise some of these organizations. To do so is considered a service to the College and is considered when tenure and promotion decisions are made. Faculty members considering this activity should be certain they are willing to devote the time to advising. To accept the responsibility and to provide inadequate supervision will, in most cases, harm rather that assist a faculty member's career at the College.
