4.1 Hourly Staff

The hourly staff category includes all employees who are not classified as faculty or administrative/salaried personnel. Every hourly employee is paid as a non-exempt employee, non-exempt means the employee is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal and state law.

Some hourly employees may be "casual" employees and others are "student employees." However, all hourly employees are subject to the standards of conduct and work expectations set forth in this handbook.  Casual employees and student employees are not eligible for paid leave or other benefits described in this handbook unless otherwise required by law. 

The category of your employment may affect the fringe benefits you receive.
