If an employee is subpoenaed or otherwise ordered to appear as a witness in a criminal, juvenile, or grand jury proceeding, the College will provide the employee with unpaid time away from work for the time required to travel and testify, provided that the employee: has been ordered by a court of law or a government agency to testify as a witness; and will be charged with contempt of court or similar legal sanctions if he or she fails to appear.
If an employee is subpoenaed or otherwise ordered to appear as a witness in a criminal or juvenile proceeding that pertains to an offense against the College or an offense involving the employee during the course of his or her employment, the College will permit paid time away from work to travel and attend the proceeding.
